Sony Network Communications & Astar Network Launch Joint Web3 Incubation Program
Sony Network Communications, an operating company of the Sony Group, has co-hosted a Web3 Incubation Program with Astar Network. The two companies have combined their resources to nurture projects related to Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs).
Program Details
The program will run from mid-March to mid-June. Applications are now open, starting February 17th. Sony Network Communications and Astar Foundation will review all applications and decide 10 to 15 cohorts for the program. Startale Labs will organize it with assistance from both organizations.
Startale Labs’ Role
Startale Labs is a Singapore-based company founded by Astar’s CEO Sota Watanabe which develops dApps as well as infrastructure for multi-chain protocols. It also acts as a bridge between large enterprises and Astar. During this incubation program, Startale will provide business strategy advice along with technical support to participating teams using its experience in development, consulting and research & development businesses.
Aim Of The Program
Sony Network Communication is exploring how blockchain technology can help address several problems in their industry. This collaboration between the two companies helps them quickly find relevant solutions leveraging Web3 technology. Sota Watanabe said: “We hope to share our knowledge and resources with participants selected for this program so that we can create new use cases and projects.“
